Kathy is someone I’ve known for a few years as a facebook acquaintance: She and I were in a few local facebook parenting groups and had quite a great rapport. So it was genuinely the biggest compliment when she approached me about being her wedding makeup artist. I could not have been more thrilled! Kathy and her husband own Revolution Rotisserie, which if you have never eaten there, you are seriously missing out on delicious rotisserie chicken! Kathy’s goal was to use as many friends/acquaintances as possible as her wedding vendors because she wanted to support her fellow small business owners. Many of her vendors were also based in OTR (Where one of her restaurants is located!), but she did reach out further for a few vendors, and Moxxie was one of them! It was such a pleasure too, because Kathy is truly one of the kindest, most down to earth, and sweetest people I’ve ever met!
Kathy loves makeup. Nothing was too bold for her liking and on the wedding day, she actually told me to change what we did at the trial, and to do “whatever I wanted.” This statement is absolute music to a makeup artist’s ears and I could not have been more excited. The only other direction she gave me was to incorporate “rose gold” and so I grabbed a brush and rolled with it! The look complimented her gorgeous formal updo, done by Jessie from Moxxie, and her stunning lace gown. The venue was of course, Rhinegeist, Revolution’s OTR neighbor & one of the coolest wedding venues in town. We got Kathy and her party ready at The Renaissance Downtown Cincinnati Hotel - one of our favorites!
